‘Head, shoulders, knees and toes
Head, shoulders, knees and toes
Eyes and ears, mouth and nose
Head, shoulders, knees and toes
Knees and toes.’
This weeks excursion started in the Filasez with the sound of head, shoulders, knees and toes being sung. There was no hurry to leave as the weather was slowly warming up for us.
We headed from the Filasez to the playpark in Hegi where we had a quick refuel with the morning snack. This gave us the energy to climb the magical tree lined path to the top of the hill. We didn’t see any little fairies hiding in the trees as they were well hidden but we were greeted by three sheep who watched our approach with a little trepidation.
Lots of rumaging and searching in a little cluster of trees resulted in great finds for Easter preparation. Hungry tummies were satisfied by a warm lunch in my garden – Aplermaccaroni British style. Those adventurous enough were able to try a piece of traditional British Christmas cake – you either love it or hate it !
The day was rounded off by running, hanging, swinging, climbing, playing in the Hegi Dorf play park before heading back to the Filasez. The tempo of the walk back was somewhat faster than the walk in the morning……… maybe the Alpmac lunch gave all a much needed boost. ☺
